Clinical Nurse - Main Post Anesthesia Care Unit
This role offers the opportunity to support patients through critical surgical transitions while contributing to UT MD Anderson's mission of ending cancer. Clinical Practice
• Deliver care aligned with transformational leadership principles, supporting unit values and future-focused practices.
• Provide nursing care across Preoperative Care, Post Anesthesia Care, and Transition Post Anesthesia Care units.
• Support safe and effective patient care throughout critical surgical transitions. Evidence-Based Practice & Innovation
• Apply evidence-based nursing principles in daily clinical practice.
• Contribute to innovation, quality improvement initiatives, and the advancement of new knowledge.
• Support best practices through continuous evaluation of clinical outcomes and care delivery. Collaboration & Patient Outcomes
• Collaborate in problem-solving and decision-making to achieve unit goals.
• Partner with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
• Support a collaborative, high-acuity care environment focused on excellence in patient care.
Professional Relationships
• Foster professional relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Promote patient-centered care and effective communication across care settings.
Performance & Operational Support
• Maintain awareness of empirical outcomes and institutional metrics to inform care and support best practices. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION
- Required: Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Preferred: Bachelor's Degree Nursing.
- Preferred: two years of clinical nursing experience in Preoperative Care, Post Anesthesia Care, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, or Surgical Intermediate Care Unit
- Required: RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure Current State of Texas Professional Nursing license. Upon Hire and
