Virtual Medical Receptionist (Remote)
#### **Job Overview**
We are seeking a highly professional and compassionate **Virtual Medical Receptionist** to manage inbound and outbound calls, support parents with appointment scheduling, and handle essential administrative tasks. The ideal candidate has strong call center experience, excellent phone etiquette, and familiarity with medical office workflows.
#### **Key Responsibilities**
* Answer inbound calls promptly and professionally
* Assist parents with scheduling, rescheduling, and canceling appointments
* Make outbound calls to confirm appointments and schedule routine follow-ups
* Virtually verify patient insurance eligibility and coverage
* Accurately document patient information in the scheduling or EMR system
* Handle general virtual administrative tasks (messages, referrals, reminders, etc.)
* Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times
* Provide a calm, empathetic, and professional experience for all callers
#### **Required Qualifications**
* Proven experience as a **medical receptionist**, **virtual receptionist**, or **call center agent**
* Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills
* Clear, confident, and friendly speaking voice
* Experience working with parents and pediatric or family medical practices (preferred)
* Knowledge of medical scheduling and insurance verification
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
* Ability to multitask and work independently in a remote environment
* Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace
#### **Preferred Skills**
* Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
* Prior remote or virtual assistant experience
* Bilingual skills (a plus, but not required)
