Nurse Supervisor
- Supervises administration of medications, immunizations, and treatment and observes patients for unusual symptoms and reactions.
- Supervises physical, developmental, and psychosocial assessments of client health needs and implements appropriate action.
- Screens crisis telephone calls and makes appropriate referrals.
- Identifies community services and makes referrals to health care services.
- Assists in evaluating services provided and makes recommendations for improvements.
- Participates in quality assurance reviews as required.
- Trains other staff as required.
- Perform related work as assigned.
- Must possess good oral and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate a caring attitude and communicate effectively with clients, other staff, law enforcement, and family members.
- Must be able to work as a team member in all areas of planning and assisting individuals in meeting their goals.
- Must be able to make decisions based on sound judgement in collaboration with other team members.
- Knowledge of nursing techniques and procedures; health care laws and regulations; medical diagnoses and procedures; accepted medical treatment programs; and community health and nursing care principles, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to provide patient care, prepare and maintain records, explain public health law, and to train others.
- Ability to delegate assignments to the appropriate individuals based on their skills and roles.
- Have excellent computer skills for clinical documentation.
- Must be able to administer medication.
- Capable of maintaining regular attendance and at times may need to work evenings and weekends as necessary to ensure coverage of shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to supervise 20+ employees

- Must be able to do performance evaluations
- Manage program area
- Must be currently licensed and in good standing as a Registered Nurse by the State of Texas or a state that recognizes reciprocity through the Nurse Licensure Compact.
- Two years supervisory experience Required.
- Minimum two years of behavioral health care experience Required.

Throughout the six counties we have approximately thirty (30) facilities and 500 employees. The administrative offices are in Waco, TX.
