Parts Delivery Driver
The Deliver Driver is a reliable employee with concern to customer satisfaction and transporting items in a safe, timely manner. The Delivery Driver will pick up and drop off items while adhering to assigned routes and time schedules. This employee is willing to work as part of the delivery team in order to ensure that the items are complete, packed correctly, and safely delivered to the correct client.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients or businesses in a safe, timely manner. Reviewing orders before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete, the charges are correct, and the customer is satisfied. Assisting with loading and unloading items from vehicles. Accepting payments for delivered items. Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, and handling complaints from clients. Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules. Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record. Preparing reports and other documents relating to deliveries. Operating equipment and machines, such as cars, trucks, forklifts, etc. Other duties assigned by manager.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED is required. Valid Drivers License. Clean driving record. Special license may be required to operate certain vehicles. Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws. Strong time management and customer service skills. Ability to walk, drive, and lift and carry heavy items for extended periods. Attention to detail.ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABIILITIES:
Possesses strong organizational skills. Is detail-oriented and capable of noticing small errors on orders or defective aspects of products. Maintains physical stamina and strength required to move heavy equipment and product weighing up to 100 pounds. Works well with others. Exhibits strong communication skills, essential for working with other employees and with customers. Demonstrates the alertness and physical dexterity required to operate heavy machinery. Must be capable of managing time effectively and multi-tasking as necessary. Demonstrates familiarity with all warehouse safety precautions and is able to observe these at all times. PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:Duties are performed throughout the inside and outside of the building(s). Employee is exposed to dirt, dust, heat, cold, noise and vibration, fumes and odors, wetness and humidity, and sometimes darkness. Employee is required to stand, walk, kneel, squat, crawl, bend, and twist. Employee may have to climb and/or lift up to and over 80 pounds frequently. Visual requirements are constant. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Due to the nature of the environment, employee is exposed to potential mechanical, chemical, electrical and fire hazards on a regular basis.
