Tier 2, Cybersecurity Analyst
Job Summary Responsible for support during security incidents, including in-depth forensic analysis and response activities. They perform complex searches within security log telemetry to gather detailed information for investigations. The analyst assists with tasks assigned by incident commanders or response leaders, including implementing complex security measures. Works with moderate guidance in their area of expertise, ensuring the security and integrity of information systems and assets.

Core Responsibilities
- Performs advanced support during security incidents, including in-depth forensic analysis and response activities.
- Assists with tasks assigned by incident commanders or response leaders, including implementing complex security measures.
- Develops and delivers comprehensive incident reports that include detailed technical analysis and clear executive-level summaries, ensuring actionable insights for both technical teams and leadership.
- Monitors and evaluates the performance of security services to ensure they meet established service level agreements (SLAs).
- Helps ensure that customer SLAs are met at all times and responds quickly to downtime situations.
- Performs complex searches within security log telemetry to gather detailed information for investigations.
- Performs quality control audits of alert signals to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Identifies false positives and improves the overall quality of alerting mechanisms.
- Coaches and mentors Tier1 cybersecurity analysts.
- Recommends policies for responding to security incidents.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Skillset:
- SIEM tools experience
- EDR / Endpoint Detection & Response tools
- Strong technical background in cybersecurity
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- High attention to detail
- Customer-focused approach to incident response
