PM - WMS Implementation

job summary:
JOB PURPOSE:

· As part of the IT Delivery Team, the main purpose of this position will be delivering end-to-end projects for Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Order Management Systems (OMS) and Integration for Company Contract Logistics in North America (United States, Canada and Mexico).

· The role will involve implementing IT Projects by supporting the Business Project Lead and collaborating with cross-functional teams (Operations, Transportation, Engineering, Implementation, Finance, IT) to deliver high-quality solutions for Company Contract Logistics customers.

· Prior involvement in the delivery or deployment of Blue Yonder Discrete solutions is desirable.

· The role includes responsibility for IT initiatives related to automation, transportation, and invoicing systems, with a strong emphasis on experience integrating automation technologies within warehouse management system environments.

· This position requires proven high-level skills in Project Management and a very strong understanding of logistics operations.

responsibilities:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Delivering the IT solution of fully configured, tested, systems to a tight timetable.

2. Managing, coordinating and controlling the IT project team, which typically includes IT application technicians (internal and external) across a range of disciplines - typically WMS, TMS, & OMS specialists, integration technicians, business analysts, and testers, etc

3. Working with client IT teams and/or their outsource partners to co-ordinate effort and meet milestones, identifying, documenting and delivering requirements from clients and Company operational teams.

4. Tightly controlling the IT budget, approving timesheets, controlling purchases spend, and avoiding overspend.

5. Apply strictly Company Project Management (CPM) methodology. Together with respective project stakeholders, insure all deliveries (planning, documentation, budget,...) relative to CPM and in assistance with Project Management Office (PMO) and Portfolio Manager.

6. Managing IT governance, ensuring compliance to Company quality and performance standards, including:

· Producing plans and forecasts

· Obtaining approvals for key documents and stage-gate progressions

· Documenting and remediating risks and issues

· Tracking progress and issuing status reports

· Participating in Steering Groups

qualifications:
REQUIRED SKILLS:

· 7-10 years Project Management experience

· Experience managing large-scale WMS implementation / migration projects

· Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

· Collaborative mindset with a focus on achieving common goals.

· Strong negotiation skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

· Team management experience preferred

· Blue Yonder

· Automation

· Role working on the deployment of operational systems (WMS, TMS, OMS, ERP,...)

· Any skills in data mapping and or automated Dashboarding

· Project Management (PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP) certifications
