Job Description
Client Service Advisor | Grubbs Family of DealershipsAbout Us
Grubbs Family of Dealerships is a multi-brand, family-owned automotive group with deep roots across the DFW Metroplex and the state of Texas. We’ve built our reputation on doing right by our customers and our people — and we’re looking for team members who share those values.
We invest in our people, provide real opportunities to grow, and take pride in the experience we deliver to both our customers and our team members. When you join Grubbs, you join a culture built on integrity, professionalism, and continuous improvement. We set a high bar — and we give you the training, tools, and support to clear it.
The Opportunity
We’re seeking a customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to be the face of our service department. You’ll build trust with every guest, present needed services with integrity, and drive a great customer experience that keeps people coming back. This is a high-accountability role — we expect strong production, an honest sales approach, and an exceptional customer experience on every single repair order.
What You’ll Do
- Greet every service customer promptly and conduct a thorough, professional walk-around and write-up
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and document them clearly so the technician can diagnose accurately the first time
- Present recommended and declined services with honesty, clarity, and supporting evidence — never overselling, never underselling
- Provide accurate estimates, realistic timelines, and proactive status updates throughout the visit — no customer ever wonders where their car is
- Coordinate tightly with technicians and parts to keep work moving and promise times accurate
- Drive customer-pay sales, hours per RO, and effective labor rate while protecting CSI
- Handle concerns and tough conversations calmly, owning the problem until it’s resolved
- Follow up after every visit to confirm complete satisfaction and earn the next one
We set a high bar at Grubbs. In this role, success means consistently delivering on the following:
- Hit hours-per-RO, customer-pay sales, and ELR targets every month
- Maintain a top-tier CSI score — every guest feels informed and respected
- Proactive status updates so no customer has to chase you for an answer
- Present recommended service with integrity — full transparency, zero pressure
- Own every concern through to resolution; never pass a problem to the customer
- Service advisor or strong customer service / sales experience preferred
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to explain technical work in terms customers understand
- Comfortable with DMS / CRM technology
- Integrity-first approach to recommending and selling service
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong earning potential — we reward performance, full stop
- Ongoing training and a clear path to fixed-ops leadership
- Family-owned, people-first culture — you’re not a number here
- Health, dental, and vision benefits
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off
- Employee vehicle purchase program
If you work with urgency, take pride in doing things right, and want to build a career in the automotive industry with a team that has your back, we want to hear from you. Apply now and a member of our team will be in touch promptly.
Grubbs maintains a strong policy of Equal Employment Opportunity for all associates. We hire, train, promote, and compensate associates based on personal and professional competence and potential for advancement without regard for race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, marital status, disability, or citizenship, as well as other classifications protected by applicable federal, state, or local laws.
