Bruegger's Bagels in Westlake is looking for a strong individual with solid previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, or customer service setting for part time or more. Must be available on the weekends.

Part time or more- we will work with you and your availability. An opener gets in by 6am and sets everything up so things are ready to go by 7am. Other shifts start at 8 or 10 and end at 3:30/4pm.

No grease, no burners, fryers, etc., and uncomplicated clean up. Cleanup is essential however, so diligent attention to sweeping, mopping & washing is very important. A closer gets in at 7 or 8, or 10 and is out around 4pm. Hours of the bakery are 7am-3pm. We are not looking for a cashier, we are looking for someone who can greet a guest, take their order & make their food alongside the rest of us doing the same thing. Historically, folks with previous line cook experience do phenomenally well due to their speed, organization, and attention to detail.

We are a locally family owned and operated franchise bagel shop that traditionally boils our bagels and has a loyal customer base nationwide as well as here in town.

Our staff has several folks who have been with us for many years. We care about you, have fun together, and expect each other to offer our guests great food as well as awesome personal service.

Must be fluent in English , and able to take an order and make it in front of a guest. Not hard work by any means, but being on time and able to keep oneself busy is key, there is always something that can be done.

Our menu is simple- bagel sandwiches, egg sandwiches, salads, coffee. This is nowhere near as difficult a job as many kitchen jobs normally are, but our expectations are that you'll be a positive spirit, dedicated to making the best food you can, able to provide exceptional service to our family of guests, and doesn't shy away from cleaning the restaurant!

Pay is weekly, by the hour, and depends on experience. Hourly pay starts at $17/hr, not including tips averaging an additional $7/hr to $11/hr.

Skills & Requirements:

• Processing food and beverage orders, answering questions and editing orders as needed
  

• Efficiently assembling and packaging bagels and bagel sandwiches in a busy environment
  

• Standing for extended periods
  

• Part time - weekends necessary for around 16-24 hrs/week
  

• 1+ years experience in a high volume restaurant kitchen
  

• Business hours: 7 AM to 3 PM M-Su
  

• Flexible Hours - NO NIGHTS
