Physical Therapist Job Details

• Assignment Type: Locum tenens (Travel Physical Therapist job)
• Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF)
• Location: Clive, Iowa (50325) – Greater Des Moines healthcare jobs
• Start Date: August 14, 2025
• End Date: November 13, 2025
• Duration: 13-week contract
• Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 8-hour day shifts (any day of the week)
• Hours per Week: 40 guaranteed
• Patient Population: Adults with complex rehabilitation needs
• Electronic Health Record: Cerner
• Scrub Color: Black
• Parking: Free, east side of facility

Physical Therapist Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Iowa
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Iowa Mandatory Reporter certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in inpatient rehab or hospital setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered healthcare environment

Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based physical therapy services to adult patients with diverse and complex rehabilitation needs
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans to maximize patient function and independence
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care
• Accurately document patient progress and outcomes using Cerner EHR
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, exercises, and home programs for optimal recovery
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, supportive healthcare work environment
