Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Lead Business Data Analyst with a strong background in technical documentation , data analysis , and ETL workflows . This contract role will support cross-functional teams by gathering requirements, analyzing data pipelines, and creating clear, user-centric documentation to drive data-driven decisions and project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to gather and document business and system requirements.

• Create comprehensive documentation including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications (FS), Data Mapping Documents, and User Guides.

• Analyze complex datasets using SQL and Amazon Redshift to support business reporting and insights.

• Work closely with ETL developers to understand data flows, dependencies, and transformation logic.

• Translate data and process requirements into actionable insights and system enhancements.

• Support QA teams during testing phases by validating requirements and assisting with test case creation.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in business analysis and technical documentation.

• Proficient in SQL for data extraction, validation, and reporting.

• Hands-on experience with Amazon Redshift and ETL processes (tools like Informatica, Talend, or AWS Glue preferred).

• Strong understanding of data modeling, data pipelines, and cloud-based data warehousing.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to work across business and technical teams.

• Proven ability to deliver high-quality documentation in fast-paced environments.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in the airline or travel industry.

• Experience using JIRA, Confluence, or similar tools for documentation and task tracking.

• Knowledge of business intelligence platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
