Your impact

Jacobs is seeking a Cost Estimating Intern to join our Project Delivery - Estimating team in Dallas, Texas in Summer 2026, working on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients' challenges locally and worldwide.

This is an exciting opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in large-scale infrastructure projects and apply your academic knowledge to real-world construction management related challenges. You will assist our team in various aspects of Vertical / Building construction and learn about industry-standard procedures and software.

Your Responsibilities May Include:

• Assist in preparing detailed quantity and cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

• Compile and submit bids for new projects, ensuring all required documentation and pricing information is accurate and complete.

• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand project scope and requirements.

• Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and availability information.

• Enter and maintain project data in estimating software and databases, conduct site visits to gather information and verify project conditions, and prepare and present reports on cost estimates, project budgets, and other relevant data to senior estimators and project managers.

• Organize and file estimate-related documents following team standards

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives related to estimating tools and templates

• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other estimating team members to ensure accurate and timely estimates.

Here's what you'll need

• In pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

• Applicants must have completed some foundational college-level coursework and be actively in process of completing required base courses

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.

Ideally, You Will Have:

•3.0 GPA

• Ability to work effectively in a team environment

• Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to building or infrastructure projects

• Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future

40,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

62,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $40,000.00 to $62,000.00; though will be paid hourly based on hours worked. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
