What You'll Do
- Responsible for purchases of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal from industrial accounts
- Develops the growth of business activities and profit with assigned accounts and in assigned territories
- Investigates new potential sources of consumers of scrap metal. Buys from retail, dealer, light industrial customers, repair shops, demolition projects, clean-ups, etc
- Purchases scrap metal materials in accordance with current market conditions based on pricing standards/models established by Company policy
- Owns internal and external customer service relating to ferrous or non-ferrous business
- Visits customers on a regular basis and maintain systemic data to record account history
- Maintains accurate records of all buying/sourcing and prospecting activities including closed sales and follow-up activities
What You'll Need
- Three to five years of Industrial Ferrous/Non-Ferrous buying experience preferred
- Contract negotiation experience required
- Strong interpersonal skills required
- Sense of teamwork as well as independent initiative required
- Proficient in MS Office programs - Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Your Education
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
