Crew Leader - Commercial Enhancement
Southern Botanical is seeking a Landscape Enhancements Crew Leader who takes pride in quality work, leads with confidence, and delivers excellent customer service. In this role, you will guide a field crew on commercial landscape enhancement projects, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards. Crew Leaders play a critical role in daily planning, team development, equipment oversight, and the overall success of each job site.
Position Responsibilities:
- Plan and coordinate daily crew activities on job sites while enforcing all safety policies and procedures
- Lead crews by providing clear direction and support to ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently
- Train, mentor, and support both new and existing crew members, ensuring proper use and care of all tools and equipment
- Read and interpret landscape plans, planting diagrams, and blueprints to execute work accurately
- Oversee construction and installation operations, including the safe and effective use of equipment
- Monitor job sites and completed work to ensure quality, safety, and productivity meet company standards
- Complete daily job updates, time tracking, and project notes using Aspire
- Follow direction from management to complete assigned tasks and project requirements
- Ensure crews are prepared for the next day’s work, including proper storage of tools and equipment and keeping trucks clean and fueled before leaving the shop
- Complete punch list items and final details on landscape installations
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Valid state driver’s license. Qualified to drive company vehicles.
- 1-2 years’ experience in landscape field
- Strong knowledge of landscape installation practices, including planting, sod, mulch, and hardscape elements
- Ability to read and interpret landscape plans, planting diagrams, and blueprints
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and manage a crew
- Working knowledge of landscape equipment and tools, with the ability to ensure proper use and maintenance
- Ability to communicate effectively with crew members, supervisors, and clients
- Comfortable using technology for daily job updates, time tracking, and project notes (Aspire experience preferred)
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 pounds

Include external environment dealing with all weather and terrain exposure. Safety equipment includes, but is not limited to hard hats, gloves, earplugs, safety vest and safety glasses. This position requires the ability to work during inclement weather events.
