Bookkeeper

Urbandale, IA

RPM Iowa is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage our financial records and ensure accurate reporting. You'll handle daily transactions, monthly close processes, and support our overall financial health.

Responsibilities:

• Financial Management:
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices and tenant payments.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with budgeting and financial analysis.
  • Process check runs, ACH payments and credit card transactions.
  • Prepare and file 1099s.
• Customer & Owner Support:
  • Assist with collections of past due funds.
  • Prepare and review owner statements.
  • Respond to customer and owner inquiries regarding financial matters.
• Data Entry & Record Keeping:
  • Enter and maintain tenant charges, payments, and late fees.
  • Record journal entries and maintain accurate financial records.
• Team Collaboration:
  • Assist with providing data for tax returns and audits.
  • Participate in office meetings and training sessions.

Compensation, Wellbeing & Growth:

• Competitive Salary: $35,000-48,000 annually. (Dependent upon PT/FT)

Requirements

• Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software (AppFolio a plus) and Google Workspace.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary Description

$35,000-48,000 annually. (Dependent upon PT/FT)
