Assistant Controller/Account Reconciliation - (3-4 month assignment)

Key Responsibilities
Assist the CFO with audit preparation and provide supporting schedules and
documentation for external auditors.
Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and resolve outstanding reconciling
items.
Reconcile multiple bank accounts across numerous legal entities.
Reconcile fixed assets, notes receivable, notes payable, accrued liabilities, prepaid
expenses, and other balance sheet accounts.
Review and reconcile interest income and interest expense accounts.
Prepare and post adjusting journal entries, accruals, reclassifications, and periodend
entries.
Ensure all journal entries are recorded in the proper accounting period in
accordance with GAAP.
Review the Chart of Accounts for accuracy and consistency.
Prepare and record intercompany transactions and elimination entries for
consolidated financial reporting.
Assist with month-end and year-end close activities.
Analyze financial statements to identify discrepancies and ensure account
balances are properly supported.
