Join a growing litigation practice handling high-exposure, complex defense matters.

Our client is seeking an experienced Defense Litigation Attorney to join our expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney who enjoys handling sophisticated, high-value litigation and wants to work alongside an accomplished team of litigators on challenging cases.

The successful candidate will play a key role in managing this expanding caseload while collaborating with attorneys across multiple offices.

Responsibilities

You will represent insurers and their insureds in a broad range of complex litigation matters, including:

• Insurance defense and coverage litigation
• Products liability
• Oil and gas litigation, including well site incidents
• Select premises liability matters for national insurance clients

This practice focuses on high-exposure matters, with policy limits generally exceeding $1 million . You will have the opportunity to manage cases from inception through resolution, including developing litigation strategy, conducting depositions, drafting and arguing motions, participating in mediations, and preparing cases for trial.

Attorneys interested in expanding their insurance coverage practice will have opportunities to broaden their experience while working on sophisticated litigation matters in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in Texas and in good standing
• Experience handling insurance defense litigation
• Experience with insurance coverage and personal injury litigation preferred
• Strong litigation, analytical, research, and writing skills
• Experience managing cases through discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff
