The Technician's primary goal is to ensure an extraordinary client experience while creating client advocates. The Technician position will also be responsible for diagnosing and repairing client and dealership vehicles with integrity and ethics, and also maintaining a positive relationship with clients who return with unsatisfactory work in accordance with dealership policies and standards.
- Must be able to drive and operate vehicle
- Examine vehicle, diagnoses and, if needed discusses with Team Leader, or ASM as to the nature and extent of damage or malfunction
- Communicate additional service requests to the ASM for communication to client
- Plan work procedure in cooperation with the Team Leader
- Provide labor time estimate to the ASM
- Monitor repair time and update ASM on status often for client vehicles left for service, and for waiting clients
- Maintain strict adherence to dealership policy on client vehicle care and operation
- Complete story, or documentation for client repairs
- Know and understand dealership computer system
- Assist Technician Trainees
- Wear approved safety glasses when in designated safety areas
- Adhere to dress code in accordance with dealership and/or manufacturer standards
- Keep work area clean and tidy in accordance with dealership standards
- Attend company and factory training
- Keep current with factory technical bulletins
- Should be willing to obtain State Inspector license if not already completed
- Keeps current with manufacturer warranty requirements
- Understand and follow Federal, State and local regulations such as disposal of hazardous wastes
- Know and understand the Client Concern Resolution (CCR) process, and utilize the program to achieve client satisfaction
- Know and understand the Park Place Privacy and Information Security Policy, and adhere to its requirements
- Attend weekly department meetings
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and be on your feet for three or more hours at a time
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet company MVR policy requirements
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (background and drug test)
