Great Place to Work® Most Loved Workplace® Forbes Best-in-State Employer Proposal Specialist (Remote) This position manages the request for proposal (RFP) response process for all assigned opportunities. This role works in a team environment, managing, writing, editing and proofreading responses to multi-product RFPs. The team works within established and inflexible periods to meet proposal deadlines. Team members are required to independently manage and complete proposals, ensuring that responses are customer-centric, complete and compliant. PRIMARY PURPOSE: To develop and respond to requests for information and proposals (RFIs and RFPs); to collaborate with various subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure the RFPs are completed timely and accurately; and to provide oversight of quality and cohesiveness of response. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides initial draft of each request to various subject matter experts (SMEs) as needed and incorporates any needed edits or updates to the response.
  • Ensures the initial draft is compliant, responsive, and specifically tailored to each client's needs.
  • Works collaboratively with the SMEs to ensure new requirements are identified and documented.
  • Facilitates internal flow and review of all RFP inputs and directs production of final master RFP.
  • Determines and maintains the timeline for each response to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Ensures security and integrity of all RFP documentation.
  • Reviews and responds to requests within the business development group.
  • Takes on additional assignments, such as RFP follow-up requests, proposal library update projects and other ad hoc assignments.
  • Helps develop and maintain RFP best practices.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Supports the organization's quality program(s).
QUALIFICATIONS Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred. Experience Four (4) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include one (1) year of project management experience and one (1) year of proofing/editing experience. Experience with RFPio/Responsive software a preferred but not required. Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong grammar and proofreading skills

  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
