Quality Inspector
- Perform inspections on components.
- Perform source inspections at facilities.
- Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
- Review inspection records received for compliance.
- Maintain inspection and measuring equipment.
- Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCR's) for nonconforming parts.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Perform In process, final and receiving inspection, and work with inspectors and manufacturing employees in other inspection areas. Inspections are made against drawing, specification and/or instructions. Accountable for product/process incoming and/or final inspection activities required for purchased and manufactured parts, respectively, and processes.
- Responsible for the proper care of all company tools and measuring equipment before, during and after use
- Ensure that all gages are in calibration, clean and free of rust, as well as in good working conditions at all times before use and traceable to/from their assigned storage location.
- Ensure that all records are kept accurately updated according to established procedures
- Identify discrepancies and prepare non-conformity reports.
- Observe safety regulations, wear all required safety equipment, encourage safe working practices, correct obvious hazards immediately or reports them to supervisors.
- HS Diploma or GED or equivalent, required
- 5-years related experience and/or training, required.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, required.
- Must be proficient with mechanical inspection tools and techniques.
- Must be able to pass background check and drug screening, required
- Able to perform physically demanding work-standing, bending, lifting 25 lbs. regularly
- Must be physically fit to perform inspection work for extended periods of time that may involve sitting, bending, stooping, standing, and repetitive arm, shoulder, and hand movements.
- Must demonstrate good work ethics in attendance, dependability, orderliness, and teamwork.
- Experience measuring API and/or ACME threads is preferred.
- ASQ certification (inspector) preferred.

- Work involves frequent lifting of materials and product up to 40 pounds.
- Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to, eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, work boots, and hardhats.
- Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
- Standing 65% of the time
- Works under immediate supervision.
