Senior Manager, Corporate Events and Incentives

Lead, execute and deliver world class and globally consistent event experiences for Gartner associates across multiple internal events.

Justification :

Support the Corporate Events team with the management of the attendee experience, logistics and financial management of events. Team management of Corporate Events team members.

Primary Responsibilities :

Support the delivery of Corporate Events & Incentives ranging from 15 person VIP programs to large 2,000+ person events

Event Planning & Logistics :

Understand each Business Units’ objectives to create events to deliver on their Mission Critical Priorities

Plan, manage and execute various elements of the event on-site – including, but not limited to:

Collaboration with Global Registration team on registration experience pre-event and on-site

Hotel specifications, menus, audio/visual specifications, evening and special event experiences, and on-site logistics

Oversee travel, transportation and hotel arrangements for attendees and staff for events

Maintain global relationships with Registration vendor, Travel booking vendor, DMCs, Signage vendors, and Security vendors on best practices and processes for seamless execution across the entire Corporate Events portfolio

Collaboration with creative services partners and other event partners on the production of onsite signage and branding and ensure accuracy of all collateral

Management of event resourcing and scheduling for Gartner Event Staff, Gartner IT, Freelancers and Vendors

Lead, communicate, and collaborate across external partners & internal staff - inspire confidence & excitement, and be a guardian of the event brand to ensure seamless delivery of overall experience, event vision, and objectives

Lead site visits for Gartner Event Staff, Business Unit Staff and vendors

Budget Management:

Effective financial management including budget creation, cost negotiation and accurate management and expense tracking as it relates to the overall event budgets up to 15M

Global Consistencies and Team Management :

Leadership of logistics team members to ensure flawless execution of Corporate Events & Incentives

Responsible for training new associates and influencing existing team members

Constantly evaluate the event experience, feedback and results and implement changes accordingly.

Communication and collaboration across Events team and event partners to ensure effective implementation of the processes and sharing ideas from Client events.

Strong executive presence and ability to interact effectively with Senior Management and C-level audiences

Implement and maintain a globally consistent standard for all Corporate Events

Oversee freelancers / temporary help / interns at events and in the office

Proactively identify operational challenges and potential process improvements, in relation to event logistics and contribute to the process of enhancing event features and activities across the attendee experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Professional Experience :

8-15 Years of Event Operations Experience

Project Management Experience

Proven Venue Management Experience

Proven Budget Management Abilities

Contract Negotiation and Supplier Management/Review

Gartner believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is 79,000 USD - 123,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan.
