START Manufacturing Trainee, Megafactory
Tesla START is an intensive 16-week training program that provides students the skills necessary for a successful career at Tesla to become either an Equipment Maintenance Technician OR Process Technician. During the program, students develop technical expertise and earn certification through in-class theory, hands-on labs and self-paced learning. This is a non-exempt position; students are hired into the program as a Tesla Technician Trainee with full pay and benefits. Successful graduates of the program will convert to a full time Technician role. What You'll Do
Equipment Maintenance Technician
Assemble electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment for productionExecute technician tasks independently after initial instructionPerform Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Corrective Maintenance (repairs) on industrial production and mechatronics equipment: Electrical systems ranging from 24 VDC to 480 VAC 3 phase, Mechanical systems, Conveyor Systems, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, PLC and networks and Robotics Process Technician
Support Engineering and Manufacturing by improving and drafting manufacturing instructions, including rework procedures, and ensuring up-to-date qualification schedulesConduct experiments and analyze data under the guidance of Process Engineers, including but not limited to Design and Experiments (DOE) and Guage Reliability and ReproducibilitySupport Lean Manufacturing and 5S initiatives, managing parts and tools inventory, executing repairs and troubleshooting precisely according to instructed processes These are general job descriptions and may not reflect the complete or exact job description and/or requirements of the position(s) for which you may be considered What You'll Bring Attend and pass each training session with a 70% or higher GPAMust follow verbal and written instructions with attention to detailBe able to work in a team-based environment and achieve goals with a "safety first" attitudeDemonstrate basic computer skills, including navigating web browsers and using standard applications like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal Benefits
