The CDL Driver will safely and efficiently deliver equipment between locations and jobsites while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform pre and post trip inspections on equipment and vehicles and notify appropriate team members if any damages or defective equipment has been found

• Assist team members with setup and breakdown of cranes / rigging equipment as needed

• Properly load and unload equipment to trailer in accordance with company safety standards

• Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations

• Adhere to Sterling Crane standards

Required Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum 3 years commercial driving experience preferably in-town congested areas

• Successfully pass post offer drug and physical screens and have a background that meets company requirements.

• Maintain valid A CDL with DOT physical examination (medical card)

• Clean MVR and successfully pass background drug screen and pre-employment physical

• Strong work ethic with ability to follow directions.

• Team player with excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work overtime weekends and/or holidays.

• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow procedures

• Prior experience with rigging or crane-related work is beneficial but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Employee will be required to have the capability to stand walk bend squat sit and lift daily.

• Ability to pick up lift carry and move freight/crane parts up to 65lbs.

• Most be able to work in all weather conditions while wearing appropriate PPE.

• Will use arms and hands to signal grab hold turn push and pull objects and or materials.
