Tax Accountant, Tax, International Tax Services (Transfer Pricing) (Senior Manager) (Multiple Positions) (1630280), Ernst & Young U.S. LLP, Houston, TX.

Effectively apply economic/financial knowledge to deliver to our clients quality transfer pricing advice through the tax life cycle (planning, accounting, compliance and controversy). Oversee the creation of transfer pricing documentation and valuation of intangible assets, reflecting the international business operations of the client. Prepare recommendations on structuring transactional flows and recommend pricing of these flows. Work with Partners on transfer pricing findings and strategic engagement planning, to ensure the delivery of high-quality practical tax planning solutions. Participate in advanced pricing agreements (APAs), review the transfer pricing section of the quarterly tax provision prepared by clients as part of their financial statement requirements, and defend transfer pricing in audits.

Lead and direct teams of professionals with diverse skills and backgrounds by providing constructive on-the-job feedback/coaching to team members. Develop and maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Manage risk in the delivery of quality client services. Generate and manage new business opportunities.

Full time employment, Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Law, Mathematics, Policy Analysis, Tax or a related field and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate, business advisory, transfer pricing, economic consulting or Federal/International business tax consulting work experience. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, Law, Mathematics, Policy Analysis, Tax or related field and 6 years of business advisory, transfer pricing, economic consulting or Federal/ International business tax consulting work experience.

Must have 4 years of experience in transfer pricing planning, documentation, or controversy work projects and preparation of APA documentation.

Must have 4 years of experience in economic modeling.

Must have 4 years of experience in advising clients on technical aspects of transfer pricing, as well as experience with general business issues including: sharing, relating and communicating technical and business knowledge across clients without violating confidentiality.

Must have 2 years of experience managing tax engagements, including engagement-related budgeting and billing, serving as a primary point of contact for clients, and escalating issues to tax partners or executives as needed.

Requires domestic and/or international travel up to 25% in order to serve client needs.
