Technician
Composite Repair Technician
Responsible for composite repairs, modifications, and installation activities. Ensures that composites and system installation activities are timely and completed in accordance with established quality standards and procedures. Ensure that safety regulations are closely adhered to. Completes related documentation as required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform composite repairs, modifications, and installations
- Assure proper documentation for work performed reflecting the status of the job
- Assure accurate accomplishment of work
- Assure work performed in accordance with all manuals, procedure, and data
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulation
Required Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent
- 3 years of composites experience
- 1 year or more of experience interpreting drawings and blueprints to accomplish a specific task
- 1 year or more of working directly off of SRM, AMM, or IPC
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant or FAA Airframe certificate
- Aviation composite repair experience
- Additional related education and/or training

Work Environment
This job operates in indoor and outdoor settings. The indoor settings include office and warehouse environments which require the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, as well as safety gear. The outdoor settings include parking lots and airplane runways. The noise level in the work environment is occasionally loud. Occasionally subject to varying inside and/or outside temperatures, which may include extreme heat (temperatures above 100 degrees) or extreme cold (temperatures below 32 degrees).
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to use the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects.
Medium work; able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel
Travel is not expected for this position.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
Must be able to legally work in the US without sponsorship. Must be able to pass a post offer DOT drug test upon hire.
