Manufacturing Operator

About Paradromics

Brain-related illness is one of the last great frontiers in medicine, not because the brain is unknowable, but because it has been inaccessible. Paradromics is building a brain-computer interface (BCI) platform that records brain activity at the highest possible resolution: the individual neuron. AI algorithms then decode this massive amount of brain-data, enabling the seamless translation of thought into treatments.

Our first clinical application, the Connexus® BCI, will help people who are unable to speak, due to ALS, spinal cord injuries and stroke, to communicate independently through digital devices. However, the capabilities of our BCI platform go far beyond our first application. With the brain in direct communication with digital devices, we can leverage technology to transform how we treat conditions ranging from sensory and motor deficits to untreatable mental illness.

The Role

The Operator I role is an entry-level manufacturing position responsible for reliably building the small, delicate, and patient-critical components of the Connexus BCI platform. This role is focused on executing released manufacturing processes with precision, consistency, and strict adherence to quality and documentation standards in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment.

Over the first 12–18 months, the Operator I will become a dependable contributor across foundational manufacturing blocks. Success in this role requires patience, fine manual dexterity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn through hands-on training and continuous feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Execute released manufacturing work instructions exactly as written while meeting quality expectations.
  • Perform fine manual assembly, handling, and processing tasks under microscopes or magnification.
  • Complete GDP-compliant manufacturing documentation accurately and legibly, including lot tracking, measurements, and observations.
  • Safely handle delicate materials and minimize damage events.
  • Maintain cleanroom protocols, gowning standards, and contamination-control practices.
  • Participate in training and qualification activities for manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with operators, technicians, engineers, manufacturing leadership, and quality teams.
  • Support a culture of quality, safety, organization, and continuous improvement.

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical certification, vocational training, or associate degree in manufacturing, laboratory sciences, electronics, or a related field is a plus.

Required Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of experience performing intricate, fine manual work in manufacturing, laboratory, technical, craft, or hobby environments requiring precision and patience.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow written work instructions exactly as released without undocumented deviations.
  • Comfort working under microscopes or magnification for sustained periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus during repetitive, high-precision tasks.
  • Clear written documentation skills with the ability to accurately record production information and observations.
  • Coachable mindset and willingness to learn through hands-on training and feedback.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work effectively in a cleanroom or controlled environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments such as medical devices, aerospace, semiconductor, or microelectronics.
  • Familiarity with GDP, GMP, ISO 13485, FDA-regulated production, or similar quality systems.
  • Prior cleanroom experience and familiarity with gowning protocols.
  • Experience using precision tools such as tweezers, torque drivers, calipers, soldering tools, or pick-and-place equipment.
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience using manufacturing execution systems (MES), including SEAL.
  • Interest in neurotechnology and patient-impacting medical devices.

Paradromics is an Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
