Webmaster / Web Developer
The Opportunity:
Join the team transforming the future of the U.S. Army. As a Webmaster / Web Developer supporting the Army Transformation and Training Command (T2COM) Communications Directorate, you will directly contribute to the Army’s modernization and digital communication initiatives. You’ll manage and enhance T2COM’s web presence, ensuring its websites, intranet platforms, and digital campaigns are accurate, engaging, and fully aligned with Army communication standards.
This is a high-impact role responsible for leading digital content creation, web development, and online engagement strategies that inform, educate, and connect Army stakeholders. You will work closely with senior leaders, subordinate commands, and external partners to deliver innovative, secure, and accessible digital solutions that advance the Army’s transformation priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage T2COM websites, intranet platforms, and online communication channels, ensuring compliance with DoD and Army standards.
- Develop and maintain website layout, structure, and functionality, including updates, patches, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure accessibility compliance (Section 508) and adherence to Army security protocols.
- Create and publish engaging digital content, including graphics, video, and multimedia storytelling.
- Optimize content for SEO, analytics, and integration across social media platforms.
- Coordinate with the T2COM Public Affairs Office and Communications Directorate to align web content with strategic messaging.
- Serve as a liaison with subordinate commands and external partners on web-related initiatives.
- Monitor website performance using analytics tools; produce monthly reports and recommend improvements.
- Provide training, technical support, and SOPs to T2COM personnel for content management.
- Support digital campaigns, high-visibility events, and multimedia projects as required.
- Identify risks, challenges, and recommend solutions for T2COM’s digital platforms.
Required:
- Current SECRET security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of professional webmaster/web development experience.
- Experience managing DoD websites, including Section 508, FOIA, Privacy, and branding standards compliance.
- Proficiency with Content Management Systems (WordPress, Army CORE), HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and scripting languages.
- Strong digital content creation skills with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Knowledge of SEO, analytics, and digital marketing strategies.
- Experience producing and editing multimedia content (graphics, video, short-form media).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
