Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to support the development and implementation of a cloud-based Energy Management System. The AWS Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, deploying and documenting the cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

This role is onsite with 3 days at office in Houston.
CGI anticipates accepting applications for this position through October 15th, 2025.
Responsibilities:
. Design and implement AWS cloud architecture for the EMS.
. Migrate existing systems from HOU server to AWS.
. Revamp data flow and processing to improve scalability and reliability.
. Replace EC2, Python Celery, and other customizations with appropriate AWS services.
. Set up connections with third-party optimizers and schedulers such as GAMS and CPLEX.
. Set up connections with site assets (MQTTS) and market through ISO-NE (DNP3).
. Ensure compliance with ENGIE security policies and standards.
. Conduct security audits and validate data models.
. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
. Minimum of 10 years of experience in AWS cloud engineering.
. Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, and IAM.
. Experience with cloud migration projects.
. Proficiency in Python and other scripting languages.
. Familiarity with data transformation and storage solutions.
. Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
. Strong communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills:
. Experience with energy management systems or similar applications.
. Knowledge of optimization algorithms and tools such as GAMS and CPLEX.
. AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar certification.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $61,900.00 - $137,100.00.
