About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Lancesoft Inc to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Dallas, Texas, 75201!

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager – Emergency Department (ED/ER) to lead and oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating patient care services while ensuring alignment with hospital goals, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department
• Lead, mentor, and manage nursing staff and supervisors
• Develop and implement policies to improve patient care quality and efficiency
• Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
• Resolve operational and patient care issues effectively
• Maintain strong communication with staff, patients, and stakeholders
• Support hospital mission, vision, and strategic goals

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing ( BSN required )

Licensure & Certifications

• Active RN License (Texas or compact state)
• BLS (AHA or ARC)
• ACLS & PALS (within 6 months of hire)
• TNCC (within 18 months)
• ENPC or CEN (within 18 months)

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership experience in nursing
• Prior Emergency Department (ED) experience required
• Experience with:
  • Staff supervision and leadership
  • Budget management
  • Physician relationship management
  • Quality improvement initiatives
  • Multidisciplinary team coordination
