Lead Data Engineer
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Data engineer is responsible for setting enterprise standards for databases, data integration, and the means to get to the data.
- Direct developers and analysts to make changes to existing pipelines, databases and data processes, including providing direction in coding logical data objects.
- Execute investigations and provide analysis to help drive insights in design.
- Develop standards and guidelines
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer programming OR a relevant field required.
- 10+ years’ experience required.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Expert knowledge of logical data modeling and physical data modeling.
- Expert knowledge of computer software, such as SQL, Snowflake, etc.
SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
- Expert leadership and mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback
