• Annual ED Volume: 11,000 Visits

• Pediatric Visits: 22%

• Admissions: 6.9% Admission Rate

• Case Mix: General Emergency Medicine

• Average Physician Productivity: 1.2 Patients Per Hour

• Transfer Rate: 6.1%

• Trauma Level: Level IV

• Specialty Backup Available: Hospitalist, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, Orthopedics, and Podiatry

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Standard Emergency Medicine Procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Licenses: Active Texas License or Active IMLC Eligibility

• Board: ABEM Board Certified Required

• Certifications:

• ACLS Required (if not BC/EM)

• ATLS Required (if not BC/EM)

• PALS Required (if not BC/EM)

• Experience: Emergency Department Experience Required

• Other Qualifications:

• Texas Candidates Preferred for Locum Coverage

• Locums-to-Perm and Permanent Interest Highly Desired

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide Emergency Department physician coverage

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat emergency patients

• Manage acute and critical presentations

• Coordinate care with consulting specialists

• Document patient encounters in Meditech

• Deliver evidence-based emergency care
