Maintenance Assistants
The Maintenance Assistants are responsible for ensuring equipment, materials, and inventory are available and delivered according to operational requirements while maximizing asset utilization, inventory accuracy, warehouse efficiency, and overall service delivery. Perform activities as assigned by supervisors and support operational, maintenance, and materials management requirements. Work under the direction of maintenance and warehouse leadership to support business objectives. Execute equipment handling, material receipt, storage, picking, packing, issuance, and inventory control activities in accordance with established procedures and standards. Ensure assigned equipment and inventory are maintained, tracked, and documented within applicable business systems and maintenance programs. Verify incoming shipments, report discrepancies, and ensure outgoing materials are properly packaged and documented. Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, material movements, work orders, labor, and equipment maintenance history. Perform inventory cycle counts and support physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy. Maintain high standards of housekeeping, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance within maintenance and warehouse areas. Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, when trained and certified. Investigate and resolve inventory, warehouse, and equipment-related issues as directed. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset utilization, operational efficiency, productivity, and cost-effective service delivery. Perform other duties as assigned.
Position OverviewThis position will primarily support the Stores team by receiving, organizing, tracking, and issuing parts and materials to maintenance personnel. The role is focused on inventory control, parts management, materials handling, and warehouse operations. The hiring team emphasized that the ideal candidate will have warehouse inventory, materials handling, and inventory control experience. Key Responsibilities
Receive, organize, store, and issue parts and materials.
Support maintenance personnel by ensuring required parts and inventory are available.
Perform inventory management and inventory control activities.
Conduct cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
Complete data entry and inventory transactions within company systems.
Verify incoming shipments and process materials appropriately.
Track and document material movements and inventory records.
Maintain warehouse organization and housekeeping standards.
Support parts control and materials management processes.
Operate forklifts and material handling equipment after certification and training.
Assist with warehouse and stores operations as assigned. Required Experience
Minimum of approximately 2 years of experience in one or more of the following:
Warehouse operations
Materials handling
Inventory control
Inventory management
Parts control
Materials supply management Preferred Experience
SAP experience
Inventory management systems experience
Excel proficiency (intermediate level preferred)
Forklift operating experience
Warehouse/storeroom experience supporting maintenance operations Key Skills
