Executive Director
About the Organization
Family Promise of Bell County, an Affiliate of the Family Promise National Network, exists to end homelessness, one family at a time, through a community-based approach. FPBC provides prevention services, emergency shelter/basic needs, and case management to families with children experiencing homelessness in Central Texas.
Founded in 2004, Family Promise of Bell County began as a network of 13 church congregations providing nightly shelter, meals, and supportive services to families experiencing homelessness, with a Day Center offering case management and basic needs. After 16 years of operating under this model, the organization undertook a strategic shift in 2020 to expand impact, hiring new leadership and developing a centralized facility, the Promise House. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, services continued uninterrupted while $1.4 million was raised to construct the debt-free Promise House, which opened in 2023 and significantly increased capacity by serving up to seven families at a time under one roof. Building on this growth, the organization expanded programming, launched a new capital campaign, and raised $1.6 million to develop the Promise Homes—eight transitional housing units that opened in 2025 on the same campus—further strengthening its continuum of care for families on the path to stable, long-term housing.
With a strong foundation and a clear mission, the organization is poised for its next phase of strategic growth and increased community impact. The Board of Directors is seeking a visionary and results-oriented Executive Director to lead this next chapter.
Position Summary
The Executive Director (ED) serves as the chief executive officer of the organization and is responsible for overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management. The ED will partner closely with the Board of Directors to sustain momentum, guide organizational growth, and strengthen the organization’s visibility, impact, and financial sustainability.
The Board is seeking an experienced executive leader with a strong background in fundraising, relationship-building, and leading teams through change.
