The MES Technician is responsible for the functionality and reporting of the MES system and ensuring the execution of the production schedule. This position will directly maintain all aspects of the system along with all analytical reporting requirements to the Planning Group for all Operations.

Working Conditions

Working conditions are of a professional office environment. However, the position does require some infield investigation. Some exposure to elements such as dust, rain, and hot & cold weather should be expected. The use of personal protective equipment (PPE) includes but is not limited to; eye safety glasses, work boots, and hard hats that are governed by the Health & Safety and Environmental Compliance.

• Qualifications:

1.1. High school diploma or equivalent. Experience that provided exposure and understanding of production planning and inventory control is preferred.

1.2. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new software applications.

1.3. Visibility of work requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and discretion with confidential information.

1.4. Must coordinate last-minute project-based work details.

• Responsibilities:

2.1. Authenticates analytical data to ensure accuracy prior to closing production orders.

2.2. Directs and coordinates the daily operations of the MES functions in regard to facility operations.

2.3. Key user in the design, implementation, and development of the MES program.

2.4. Maintains the data accuracy of inventory in the MES system.

2.5. Communicates with Plant Supervisors and Managers regarding the production schedule.

2.6. Works as a liaison between departments to communicate production needs

2.7. Assists in the evaluation of M.E.S data and cumulative daily production and operational scheduler/reports.

• Activities:

3.1. Ensures products are running accordingly to policies and procedures

3.2. Communicates with all departments on any schedule changes within their departments based on WIP and daily M.E.S reporting.

3.3. Interprets all data in the M.E.S system for validity. Corrects all data reporting errors in the M.E.S system and paper systems.

3.4. Maintains MES main data such as users, shifts, etc.

3.5. Prepares production process orders with required approvals at least 24 hours prior (as a working day) to WO starting time.

3.6. Organizes necessary yard activities.

3.7. Other duties as assigned.

• Authority and Obligation:

4.1. This position is reporting to the Planning supervisor.
