Responsibilities: Develops and tests machinery and equipment under direction of Engineering Staff. to the solution of a wide variety of moderate to complex issues. Exercises latitude in the delivery of independent solutions for issues. Follows established process and procedures, identifying and implementing improvements as necessary. Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects and program objectives. Functional areas of responsibility could include but not limited to: Information Technology Operations Mechanical Technician **This position is contingent upon award of contract** Qualifications Qualifications Multiple Levels and Openings Available: Level 1: BS/BA degree with 0-5 years. Level 2: BS/BA degree with 3-9 years or 0-2 with MS/MA degree. Level 3: BS/BA degree with 7-12 years or 3-5 with MS/MA degree or 0-2 years with PhD. Ability to obtain security clearance (up to TS/SCI) or background investigation as required. NASA certification related to position as required. Must be familiar with commonly used concepts and practices within related disciplines Preferred : Previous experience with NASA or DoD customers. Previous experience in human spaceflight mission full life cycle activities. Security Clearance: This position may require the candidate to be able to obtain a TS/SCI clearance as required. US Citizenship is required to obtain this clearance. #JSCHSF SCA / Union / Intern Rate or Range Details Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
