Position Overview:
- Seeking a highly qualified Software Engineer to support embedded real-time software development for missile development products in our Grand Prairie, TX facility.
- This role focuses on the design, development, integration, and maintenance of software and firmware for mission-critical systems, including flight control, avionics, and weapons systems.
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Ada programming, real-time operating systems, and Linux environments.
- You will work across all phases of the software development lifecycle from requirements analysis to implementation and formal qualification testing.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded real-time software applications using Ada.
- Support software integration with engineering systems including avionics, control systems, and defense platforms.
- Apply industry-standard development processes, tools, and best practices throughout the software lifecycle.
- Interface with internal teams, customers, and suppliers to define and refine system requirements.
- Participate in formal software verification and validation efforts.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of a software factory/CI-CD pipeline.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Ada programming
- Experience with Linux (preferably CentOS)
- Real-time embedded software development
Desired Skills:
- Experience with C++
- Familiarity with software factory tools and CI/CD pipelines
- Knowledge of GitLab, Docker, and VxWorks
- Understanding of embedded system integration in defense or aerospace environments
