  • 4A Transplant/Urology/Plastic Surgery - 1 position
  • 5A/C Medicine - 2 positions
  • 9KPV Orthopaedic/Spine - 1-2 positions
  • 10A Emergency General Surgery - 1 position
  • 10K Neurosciences - 2-3 positions
  • 7C/11K Cardiovascular Intermediate Care - 1 position
  • 13K Adult Oncology - 1-2 positions
  • 14A General Surgery - 1 position
  • 14C General Medicine - 2 positions
  • ED Observation - 1 position

*Based on internal ONA transfers first priority per ONA contract

$55.24 - $92.02 per hour based on RN Degree and level of experience

The OHSU Clinical registered nurse (RN) provides compassionate evidence-based and efficient care to individuals families communities and patient populations. The Clinical RNs care delivery is consistent with the Oregon Nurse Practice Act the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and the ANA Code of Ethics. The Clinical RN demonstrates the professional role obligations of scientist leader and knowledge transferor Onsomble Model of the Professional Role. Professional accountability enriches the Clinical RNs engagement as a leader in promoting an inter-professional culture of collaborative decision-making innovation life-long learning and teamwork. The Clinical RN exemplifies the principles of a Culture of Safety by committing to a Just Culture a Reporting Culture a Learning Culture and an Engaged Informed Culture.

Required Qualifications

Minimum requirements for all Nurses:

  • Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) by 30 days before the start date
    • BSN preferred
    • Associate Degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire
  • Current unencumbered Oregon RN license by 1 week before the start date
  • Clinical Practicum in an adult inpatient unit
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation
  • As of January 2026 all required CPR certifications will be provided by OHSU during new hire onboarding

Additional Details

The intended start date is January 26 2026. Please note this date may be adjusted based on operational needs.

Length of Orientation

  • New Graduate Nurse: New to profession or with <1 year of experience:
    • Either Transition to Practice (TTP) Program Residency Learning Pathway or Orientation experience for about 10-12 weeks depending on the care area with an employment service agreement.
  • Experienced Nurse

    • External candidates: OHSU & Nursing New Employee Orientation (NEO) for about a week.
    • Either Transition to Practice (TTP) Program Specialty Fellowship/Fellowship Learning Pathway or Orientation experience for 3 days-26 weeks depending on the care area. An employment service agreement may apply.
