• They are seeking a Construction Estimator to join their team. The Construction Estimator will play a key role in preconstruction services, preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, and supporting both the preconstruction and project management teams.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects, with emphasis on K-12 and higher education facilities.
  
• Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and related documents.
  
• Solicit, review, and negotiate subcontractor and supplier bids, ensuring competitive pricing and proper trade coverage.
  
• Assist in preconstruction budgeting, conceptual estimating, and value engineering.
  
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and owners to clarify scope, identify risks, and align budgets with project goals.
  
• Develop bid packages, proposals, and project schedules.
  
• Maintain historical cost data and update pricing databases for accuracy and competitiveness.
  
• Support the project management team post-award with scope review and buyout.
  
• Perform site visits as needed to verify existing conditions and ensure accurate estimates.
  
• Support CMAR delivery by developing conceptual budgets, cost models, and assisting in GMP (Guaranteed Maximum Price) proposals.
  
• Assist in the development of phased bid package strategies for CMAR projects.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years estimating experience with a commercial General Contractor required. ? Experience with CMAR projects and educational construction (ground up, renovations, and additions) strongly preferred.
  
• Proficiency in estimating software; Sage Estimating experience a plus.
  
• Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and materials.
  
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
  
• Willingness to occasionally travel for site visits and client meetings.
