Salary: $150,000 - $200,000 per year A bit about us: We are a customer and employee-focused P&C carrier providing coverage for drivers across the country. Why join us? You'll be the point person responsible for understanding NAIC standards and other regulations, such as GLBA, HIPAA, and TCPA. This role will manage our compliance program and advise Sr. Leadership of changes, risks, and impact. Job Details Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and maintain the enterprise compliance program, ensuring alignment with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and provide timely guidance to senior leadership on new developments, risks, and operational impacts.
- Conduct compliance risk assessments across functions such as product, underwriting, claims, and distribution to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
- Research evolving legal requirements and establish policies, procedures, and internal controls to minimize compliance risks.
- Manage other strategic projects and priorities as assigned by senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, risk management, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of compliance experience within the property and casualty insurance sector.
- Strong knowledge of insurance regulations at both the state and federal level, including standards established by industry regulators and relevant consumer protection laws.
- Deep understanding of the insurance product lifecycle, from underwriting and issuance through claims management.
- Demonstrated ability to assess risks, design compliance strategies, and manage cross-functional teams.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, regulators, and employees.
- Capacity to work independently while collaborating successfully in a team-oriented environment.
- Juris Doctor degree or similar advanced legal education.
- Professional compliance certifications (e.g., CRCM or equivalent).
- Familiarity with compliance management tools and technology platforms.
- Prior experience working with minimum-limits auto insurance programs.
