Heavy Equipment Rigging Technician — Shipping & Receiving
At first light in Southeast Houston, you step onto the shipping and receiving deck of a busy pump repair shop. Pallets arrive, skids are queued, and large pump assemblies are staged for outbound transport. You coordinate with the team, inspect rigging gear, and plan each lift. On the forklift you shuttle materials with precision. Under the overhead crane, you choose the right round slings and hardware, build a safe rig, and guide the load—pumps, skids, and heavy machines—onto trucks for departure. Throughout the day, your attention to detail keeps the workflow organized and safe.

- Location: Southeast Houston
- Pay: $20/hr
- Schedule: 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday–Saturday
- Employment Type: Temp-to-hire
What You’ll Do
- Work within the shipping and receiving department of a pump repair facility.
- Move inbound and outbound materials using a forklift and overhead crane.
- Rig and guide loads to safely load and unload large equipment such as pumps, skids, and heavy machines.
- Maintain clean staging areas and organized inventory flow.
What You’ll Bring
- 2+ years of forklift and overhead crane experience.
- 2+ years working with round slings and typical rigging hardware.
- NCCER Rigging Level 1 certification.
- Hands-on experience loading and unloading large equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiencies
- Material handling and heavy material movement
- Forklift licensed
