Overview:

The Product Manager will be responsible for overseeing the product development process for a specific brand and working cross-functionally with Sourcing and Design to ensure consistent and accurate workflow.

Key Accountabilities:

• Manage the approval process with the licensor and ensure all designs are submitted and approvals secured
• Manage the design product approval process to ensure design intent and feedback is communicated clearly to sourcing/ suppliers
• Ensure sourcing is kept up to date on product development progress
• Support seasonal fabric development by working closely with design and fabric team to ensure new fabric research is prioritized
• Manage Sampling process for all channels, from initial request through receipt in NYO, to sales team distros
• Work with design, seasonally, to identify sample fabric needs and communicate to sample room to ensure availability and meet sample due dates
• Align with design on sample comments & manage the communication with cross functional teams
• Work closely with merchandising teams to ensure seasonal VLPs are up to date for all channels and sku counts are communicated to design team
• Initiate PLM set up according to the VLPs and conduct PLM (design) maintenance throughout the development process
• Manage seasonal product development boards, ensuring accuracy of cads, style numbers and color codes. Conduct maintenance through any updates and changes for all sales channels
• Drive deadlines to ensure milestones are met in adherence to the calendar
• Conduct market research as needed across all product categories and channels of distribution
• Special Projects as assigned

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities/Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, or related field
• 3+ years’ experience in Product Development in the wholesale fashion industry
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Salary Description

$75,000-$110,000 per year
