Must have reliable transportation and willing and able to move to new location within the Houston area.

Job Summary

The Manager in Training (MIT) is a development role designed to prepare high-potential candidates for a future Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager position. This role provides hands-on experience in all aspects of restaurant operations, including team leadership, customer service, food quality, and financial performance. The MIT will work closely with leadership to build the skills needed to successfully run a restaurant.

Key Responsibilities

• Learn and perform all Team Member and Shift Manager duties.
• Provide exceptional guest service and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Assist in supervising team members during shifts, ensuring efficient operations.
• Support food preparation and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Participate in opening and closing procedures, including cash handling.
• Assist with scheduling, labor control, and shift coverage.
• Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and minimize waste.
• Support training and onboarding of new team members.
• Learn to analyze sales, costs, and key performance metrics.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred.
• 1–2 years of restaurant, retail, or customer service experience preferred.
• Leadership potential with a strong desire to grow into a management role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Frequent walking, bending, and lifting (up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to work in a kitchen environment with varying temperatures.
• Fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Flexible schedule required, including late nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Hands-on role requiring active participation in daily operations.
