Junior Accountant 9-12 months

A Parent Media Co. Inc. (APMC) and Victory+ are seeking a driven, energetic and detail-oriented Jr. Accountant to support our finance team by managing daily accounting tasks, reconciliations, and vendor/customer processes. This person must be results-driven, adaptable, and eager to learn, with a strong sense of accountability and organization. About You

As a Jr. Accountant, you bring accuracy, organization, and adaptability to a fast-paced environment. You’re detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability and thrive on keeping numbers in order. You have the drive to succeed, are results-oriented, and bring energy to solving problems with a solutions-first mindset. You’re comfortable balancing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and communicating clearly across teams. You’re eager to grow your skills in accounting while contributing to a dynamic media and technology company.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, payments, and collections efficiently and accurately.

• Vendor & Customer Onboarding: Set up and maintain accounts for new vendors and customers.

• Reconciliations: Perform bank and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.

• Journal Entries: Prepare and book journal entries as part of regular accounting cycles.

• Event Code Management: Update and maintain event codes with team and league schedules.

• Reporting: Run standard and ad hoc financial reports for internal use.

• Period-End Duties: Assist with month-end and quarter-end close processes.

• Support & Queries: Respond to inquiries from customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.

• Agile Support: Step in where needed to provide flexible, hands-on support for finance and operations priorities.

• Results Focus: Proactively seek ways to improve accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency in all accounting processes.

• Ad Hoc Duties: Support the finance team with additional tasks as required.

Experience & Qualifications

•1–3+ years of accounting experience (accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries)

• Proficiency with Excel and QuickBooks (other accounting software is an asset)

• Certificate, Diploma, or higher education in Accounting and/or Bookkeeping is considered an asset

• Strong attention to detail with exceptional organization and time-management skills

• Ability to work under pressure, manage concurrent deadlines, and adapt quickly to shifting priorities

• Results-driven mindset with the drive to continuously improve processes and accuracy

• Strong communication skills and ability to work with vendors, customers, and internal teams at all levels

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
