Pre-K Lead Teacher

*** Equal Opportunity Employer *** The Goddard School located in Pflugerville, TX is looking for an experienced Lead Teacher for our Pre-K program (4-5 yrs). Our Lead Teachers are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of assigned classes. They will plan, present, and evaluate educational and recreational activities for children in a safe environment and work directly with children and parents daily to provide quality customer service. Job Requirements

• Meets background check eligibility
• Prior experience in the role at a licensed childcare center
• A currently valid CDA (or actively working towards one) or a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
• Has successfully completed state-required pre-service training
• Knowledge of Texas Rising Star (TRS) and/or Cognia standards is a definite plus
• Excellent classroom management skills, especially when redirecting behaviors in the classroom
• Comfortable using technology and iPad apps for daily activity reports for children
• Is dependable, adaptable and enjoys working in teams
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib
