Geomet is seeking to fill a Bilingual Administrative Cashier position within our retail team. This position provides administrative support for various company functions. Deals with a diverse group of external callers and visitors. Primary function is to efficiently expedite external guest transactions as well as ensuring guest satisfaction and proper control of cash handling in the office. Essential Functions:

• Assists with answering phones for the company. Takes messages or fields / answers all routine and non-routine questions. Works in cooperation with other support staff / admin staff to cover phones.
• Maintains and updates customer files within the company specific software (ROM), verifying customer information is accurate and complete.
• Assists with cash transaction card applications and the creations of cash transaction cards for customers.
• Assists with and maintains accurate files as required by regulatory authorities.
• Ensures that each guest receives outstanding guest service by providing a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every guest, maintain outstanding standards, product knowledge and other components of guest service.
• Accurately and efficiently enters customer purchase orders in the ROM system.
• Accurately and efficiently completes all cash transactions and maintains proper cash and accountabilities at point of purchase.
• Understands and follows state laws regarding recycling when dealing with customers.
• Communicates guest requests to management.
• Assists with other tasks and projects as assigned.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

• This is a full-time position.
• Days of work are Monday through Saturday.
• This position may require long hours and some weekend work.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of general office experience.
• 1-2 years of cashier experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in the scrap metal/recycling industry is preferred but not required.
• Bilingual. (Spanish)
