Our neonatal team cares for newborns who require specialized monitoring and interventions in a Level II NICU / Special Care Nursery environment, with established pathways for higher-acuity support when clinically indicated. - Provide direct nursing care to critically ill neonates, including those requiring ventilator support, CPAP/HFNC management, phototherapy management, and thermoregulation & incubator care.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests to monitor the health of neonates, and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Implement and manage neonatal resuscitation protocols as needed.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to formulate, implement, and evaluate a plan of care for each patient.
- Educate and support families, helping them understand their child's condition, treatment plan, and future care needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely EMR documentation, including clinical charting.
- Participate in emergency response and rapid stabilization efforts, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all patients.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as nursing best practices and standards of care.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a NICU Nurse.
- Current certification in the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Demonstrated proficiency in ventilator management, CPAP/HFNC management, phototherapy management, thermoregulation & incubator care.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to provide family education & support.
- Experience with EMR documentation and clinical charting.
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively to emergencies, demonstrating sound judgement and rapid stabilization skills.
- A compassionate and patient-focused approach to nursing, with a strong commitment to providing the highest level of care to neonates and their families.
