Project Coordinator (Construction & Real Estate Development)

Compensation : $28 - $32/hour DOE

Location : Remote (Houston, TX area based required)

Schedule : Part Time to Start (20 hours / week), increasing to Full Time (40 hrs/week)

Description:

A rapidly growing real estate development and construction company specializing in high-end residential development throughout the Greater Houston area is looking for an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Project Coordinator who can become a key member of the team and grow with the company.

This position is primarily remote; however, candidates must reside in the greater Houston area and be available to visit local job sites when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit construction draw requests through lender portals.

• Coordinate with lenders and assist with project financing documentation.

• Prepare draw request packages, including GPS-verified job site photos and videos.

• Coordinate with our estimating team by converting construction estimates into lender required formats.

• Create, maintain, and update construction budgets, balance sheets, and financial tracking spreadsheets.

• Prepare invoices and communicate professionally with clients regarding billing and outstanding balances.

• Process subcontractor invoices and prepare subcontractor payout packages.

• Coordinate with architects, engineers, surveyors, real estate agents, municipalities, and other project consultants regarding project documentation, invoices, approvals, and payments.

• Maintain organized digital project files and keep the company’s Google Drive structured and up to date.

• Assist with bookkeeping tasks within QuickBooks.

• Support project documentation from acquisition through project completion.

• Perform additional administrative and project coordination duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Construction industry experience is required.

• Strong understanding of residential construction terminology, trades, budgets, estimates, and construction line items.

• Experience preparing or coordinating lender draw requests is highly preferred.

• Proficiency with QuickBooks.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including creating and maintaining professional spreadsheets.

• Strong proficiency with Google Sheets and Google Drive.

• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

• Professional written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Requirements:

• Must live in the Greater Houston area.

• Reliable personal vehicle and valid driver’s license.

• Ability to travel to local job sites as needed to capture GPS-verified photos and videos for lender draw requests.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with financial information, client records, and lender documentation.

Preferred Experience:

• Residential home builder or general contractor experience.

• Real estate development experience.

• Construction bookkeeping.

• Construction estimating support.

• Lender draw administration.

• QuickBooks.

• Microsoft Excel.

• Google Workspace.
