Job Title: Galvanizer - Paying up to $21/hr!

Job Description

The role of a Galvanizer involves procuring and positioning various below-the-hook holding devices, pallets, boxes, pins, wires, chains, and blocking for loading and unloading. You will perform general labor work, pile and store materials, products, components, pallets, skids, and holding devices in and around the galvanizing plant according to safety regulations. Additionally, you will ensure tools and equipment are checked for safety, maintain general housekeeping of the work area, hang parts, stack and unstack items, and be familiar with quality control processes. You will clean and prepare surfaces using water and/or hazardous chemicals, operate overhead cranes, maintain equipment, determine material preparedness for coating, and work under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Procure and position holding devices for loading and unloading.
• Perform general labor tasks and store materials as required.
• Check tools and equipment for safety compliance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Hang, stack, and unstack parts efficiently.
• Clean and prepare surfaces with water and hazardous chemicals.
• Operate certified overhead cranes.
• Maintain equipment and assess material readiness for coating.
• Work under direct supervision and adhere to safety protocols.

Essential Skills

• Experience in production and manufacturing inspection.
• Ability to perform cleaning and general labor tasks.
• Experience in loading, unloading, and palletizing.
• Industrial manufacturing.
• Capability to operate overhead cranes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Understanding of the galvanizing process and equipment operation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Work Environment

The work environment is a heavy industrial, steel fabrication facility where candidates are required to wear steel toe boots, hard hats, safety glasses, and ear plugs. The open-air building is not climate-controlled, resulting in hot conditions during summer and colder conditions in winter.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Worth, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.
