Hot Forge Operator

Job Title: Die Forge Operator (Aerospace Fasteners).

Location: Houston, TX.
Pay: Starting at $20/hour (negotiable based on experience).
Schedule: Day shift (7:00 AM – 3:30/4:00 PM); second shift may be added due to growth.

The client manufactures high-strength, precision fasteners used in military aircraft, helicopters, and spacecraft . They work to support mission-critical programs like the Joint Strike Fighter, F/A-18 Super Hornet, and Falcon 9 . With increasing demand, they are expanding their team to keep up with demand!

Job Overview:

The Die Forge Operator will set up and operate forging machines (punch press with induction heating) to produce aerospace-grade fasteners. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with tight tolerances in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate punch press and forging machines to hot forge heads on aerospace fasteners.
• Monitor induction heater temperature, apply lube, and safely feed bolts in/out of machines.
• Read routers/blueprints to confirm tolerances and sequences of operations.
• Measure and inspect forged parts to ensure they meet aerospace specifications.
• Adjust machine setups and keep accurate production documentation.
• Maintain compliance with all safety, ITAR, and Department of Defense regulations (no cell phones on the floor).

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1+ year of forging or related manufacturing experience (precision forging in aerospace/automotive preferred; Oil & Gas considered if strong skills).
• Ability to work with tight tolerances and adapt to frequent job changes.
• Strong attendance, dependability, and ability to follow instructions.
• U.S. Citizenship required (due to defense contracts).
• Must pass background check and drug test.

Physical & Work Environment:

• Able to lift up to 45 lbs. and stand for long periods.
• Work around high heat, heavy machinery, loud noise, and industrial fumes (PPE provided).
• Must be comfortable with non-repetitive, technically challenging work.
