Staff Accountant POST NUMBER: 476415
Dallas, TX – 4 days onsite (WFH Fridays) Compensation: $70-80K One of Vaco’s privately-held pharmaceutical clients recently expanded and is looking to onboard a Staff Accountant to the team (with a promotional track to Manager for the right individual). Company is growing exponentially (over 50% YoY) as well as expanding into new markets. We’ve placed several people on the team and have received great feedback on culture and leadership. Summary of Responsibilities:
- Own the month-end close processes for assigned areas, including daily interaction with internal business partners and external auditors.
- Understand and ensure compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and departmental policies and procedures.
- Implement new policies and procedures and modify existing policies and procedures to make the financial reporting/accounting processes more effective, streamlined and efficient.
- Provide analytical support and financial analysis in support of the team's projects, including potential acquisitions, efficiency improvements, and cost reduction initiatives, etc.
- Bachelors degree in finance or accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of accounting theory and application of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience with financial reporting and financial statement preparation.
- General ledger and related reconciliation experience.
