Technology Director - Digital Product Engineering
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technology professional to join our team as a Technology Director - Digital Product Engineering. This role is primarily focused on Technical Delivery Leadership and Governance (70%), with additional responsibilities in Service Line Development (20%) and Solution Development (10%). The ideal candidate is an experienced DPE leader with broad knowledge across modern application architectures, delivery models, and platforms, including web, backend, API-driven, and mobile solutions. The Technology Director provides senior technical leadership and governance across client engagements without direct hands-on execution.

Job Duties - Technical Delivery Leadership and Governance (70%) Provide strategic leadership and technical governance for the successful execution of DPE solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and established engineering best practices. Oversee end-to-end solution delivery from a technical governance perspective, ensuring high-quality application deliverables without direct hands-on execution. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on application platforms, architecture decisions, delivery approaches, and engineering best practices to drive successful outcomes. Screen and assess senior DPE candidates (e.g., architects, technical leads, principal engineers) for project alignment, providing clear technical evaluation and feedback. Direct and mentor offshore and junior team members who support candidate screening, ensuring consistent technical evaluation standards. Provide thought leadership on: Modern Application Architecture: Advising on scalable, maintainable architectures across web, backend, API-driven, and mobile applications. Digital Product Engineering Delivery Models: Guiding teams and clients on appropriate SDLC approaches, DevOps alignment, and delivery structures. Application Modernization and Platform Strategy: Supporting organizations in modernizing legacy applications and evolving application platforms. Guide and mentor project teams, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices, architecture principles, and internal technical governance across all DPE deliveries. Service Line Development (20%) Contribute to the continuous improvement and growth of the DPE Service Line. Develop and implement best practices, methodologies, and governance frameworks to enhance delivery consistency and effectiveness. Mentor and develop technical leaders and senior engineers within the Service Line. Participate in thought leadership activities related to DPE delivery standards and evolving client needs. Solution Development (10%) Support the creation and refinement of reusable DPE solutions, accelerators, and delivery frameworks. Contribute to the development of new service capabilities based on market demand and client requirements. Collaborate with sales and pre-sales teams to shape solution approaches and delivery strategies. Participate in technical reviews of solution proposals to ensure alignment with Service Line standards and risk mitigation expectations. Job Requirements - Willingness to travel up to 25% for client engagements, conferences, and internal leadership meetings. 10+ years of experience in application development with increasing responsibility in architecture and technical leadership roles. Broad experience across DPE domains, including: Full-stack, backend, and web application development API-driven and service-oriented architectures Cloud-native and hybrid application platforms Mobile application development and delivery considerations Prior experience providing technical governance and architectural oversight for application development engagements in a consulting or professional services environment. Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical engagements and drive successful outcomes. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Proven experience mentoring and developing technical teams. Strong understanding of modern SDLC practices, DevOps principles, and application delivery quality standards. Ability to balance strategic technical governance with practical delivery oversight.
